At SEMA 2025, Toyota surprised enthusiasts with the Camry GT-S Concept — a bold reinterpretation of the brand’s best-selling sedan, built for track-ready performance and aerodynamic presence.

Developed by Toyota Motorsports Garage, the GT-S features a lowered suspension, widebody carbon kit, 19-inch forged wheels, and a prototype hybrid-turbo powertrain tuned to deliver 335 horsepower. Inside, the concept sports racing bucket seats, a roll-bar, and GR-inspired digital instrumentation.

“This Camry is about proving that performance and efficiency can live together — and look stunning doing it,” said Kirk Stirling, Toyota Motorsports Garage lead engineer.

The GT-S Concept pays homage to Toyota’s racing heritage while hinting at the future of electrified sport sedans.

Toyota Camry GT-S Concept Steals the Spotlight at SEMA 2025

Toyota shocked the crowd at the SEMA Show 2025 with the debut of its Camry GT-S Concept — a track-inspired transformation of America’s best-selling midsize sedan. The GT-S bridges performance and hybrid technology in a design that’s equal parts aggressive and refined.

A Street-Legal Race Car in Disguise

Built by Toyota Motorsports Garage, the GT-S features:

  • Turbo-Hybrid Powertrain: 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid tuned to 335 hp

  • Widebody Carbon Kit: Flared arches and custom aero for maximum downforce

  • Lowered GR Suspension: Track-ready coil-overs and lightweight 19-inch forged wheels

  • Racing Cockpit: GR bucket seats, roll-bar integration, and full digital display cluster

“We built the GT-S Concept to show how the next-gen Camry can thrill drivers while staying true to Toyota’s hybrid innovation,” said Kirk Stirling, Toyota Motorsports Garage Lead Engineer.

Motorsport DNA Meets Everyday Practicality

While the GT-S Concept is a one-off prototype, Toyota hints that its design language and performance-hybrid tech may influence future GR Sport sedans. The car represents Toyota’s evolving vision: sustainable performance without compromise.

For fans of balanced engineering and motorsport spirit, the Camry GT-S proves that even a family sedan can carry a racing soul.
