The mystery is finally over for one of the most anticipated SUVs of the decade. Zohari Cars is reporting live as Kia America officially pulls the curtain back on the pricing for the first-ever 2027 Kia Telluride HEV. As the centerpiece of the Telluride's massive second-generation redesign, the hybrid model introduces a level of efficiency and standard luxury that justifies its position at the top of the range. However, for those moving from the traditional gas-powered V6, that innovation comes with a premium entry point.
The 2027 Telluride Hybrid skips the entry-level LX and S trims found on the gas-only model, opening the lineup with the well-equipped EX trim at $46,490 (MSRP). This creates a $7,300 jump from the least expensive non-hybrid model, though the gap narrows to just $2,700 when comparing equivalent EX trims. Under the hood, the Telluride HEV pairs a 2.5L turbocharged engine with dual electric motors to deliver a combined 329 horsepower and 339 lb.-ft. of torque. With an EPA-estimated 35 MPG combined for the FWD model and a total range of 637 miles, the hybrid version significantly outpaces the fuel economy of the outgoing first-generation V6.
EX FWD: $46,490
EX AWD: $48,490
SX FWD: $51,490
X-Line SX AWD: $54,490
SX-Prestige AWD: $56,590
X-Line SX-Prestige AWD: $57,590
*Prices exclude $1,545 destination charge.
The 2027 model is not just about fuel savings; it is a total technological overhaul. Standard features across the hybrid line include a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, and 19 standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Higher trims like the X-Line SX-Prestige add rugged visual elements and the sophisticated "Stay Mode," which allows the hybrid battery to power climate control and accessories for up to 20 minutes without idling the engine. For the Zohari Cars community, the choice between the 274-HP gas-only turbo and the 329-HP hybrid will come down to a balance of initial cost versus long-term savings and power.
The Telluride Hybrid is proudly assembled at Kia’s plant in West Point, Georgia, and is expected to begin arriving at dealerships in late Q1 2026. Stay tuned to Zohari Cars as we prepare for a head-to-head comparison between the all-new Telluride HEV and its corporate cousin, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. We will be providing a full hands-on review the moment the first units hit the Los Angeles area.
