The urban workhorse has returned. Zohari Cars is thrilled to confirm that after a four-year hiatus, Ram Professional is resurrecting a legend: the all-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City. Unveiled at Work Truck Week in Indianapolis, this isn't just a refresh—it's a complete reimagining based on Stellantis's global mid-size commercial platform. Sized perfectly for the street but built for the site, the new ProMaster City fills the void left by the exit of small cargo vans, offering a "right-sized" solution that maneuvers like a car but works like a truck.
Under the raked hood of the 2027 model lies a punchy 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering a stout 166 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Driving the front wheels through an efficient 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission, this powertrain is engineered for the stop-and-go demands of urban delivery. Ram claims the van can literally "haul a ton and tow a ton," boasting a payload capacity of up to 2,175 lbs and a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. With a height of just under 77 inches, it remains the only mid-size commercial van in its class capable of slipping into standard parking garages with ease.
Inside, the ProMaster City sheds its basic roots for a high-tech "Digital Cockpit." Every model comes standard with a dual 10-inch display setup: a customizable digital instrument cluster and a Uconnect 5 touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For those who frequently pack the cargo area to the ceiling, the Digital Dual-View Rearview Mirror provides a high-definition video feed of the road behind. Safety is also paramount, with Forward Collision Warning, Active Braking, and Drowsy Driver Detection coming factory-equipped to keep your crew safe and insurance premiums low.
At Zohari Cars, we recognize that the 2027 Ram ProMaster City is more than just a van—it's a partner for small business growth. With a load floor stretching over 9 feet (111 inches) and 48.9 inches between the wheel wells, it can swallow two standard U.S. pallets or 4x8 sheets of plywood with the doors closed. Whether you opt for the work-focused Tradesman or the more refined SLT trim, this van is ready to dominate the "last-mile" delivery segment. Orders are expected to open in late 2026, with arrivals scheduled for Q1 2027. Stay tuned for our full "Business Class" road test and upfitting guide coming soon.
