The spirit of the legendary hot hatch is heading to the endurance world stage. Zohari Cars is thrilled to bring you the first look at the Peugeot 9X8's stunning new livery for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Unveiled in the heart of Paris at the prestigious Atelier Vendôme, this new visual identity is far more than a coat of paint—it is a powerful tribute to Peugeot’s GTi marque, bridging the gap between iconic heritage and the high-tech future of motorsport.
The 2026 livery is a masterclass in design, featuring a dynamic interpretation of "Hypergraphs" that represent Peugeot Sport's performance language. These gradient streaks are designed to evoke the constant motion and millions of data points analyzed during a 24-hour race. At the core of the design is the brand's iconic triple claw motif, a signature element that has been reimagined for the hypercar era. This same visual language is carried over to the all-new Peugeot E-208 GTi, creating a direct aesthetic link between the 9X8 Hypercar and the brand's upcoming flagship road models.
For the first time on the 9X8, Peugeot is adopting the historic White, Black, and Red colourway—the same emblematic tones first offered on the legendary 205 GTi in 1984. The use of Okenite White takes center stage, serving as both the base for the race car and the launch color for the 280-horsepower E-208 GTi. According to Matthias Hossann, Head of Design at Peugeot, the aim is to bring an extra dose of "emotion and enjoyment" to every lap. By celebrating the GTi legacy on the world stage, Peugeot is emphasizing that driving pleasure remains a core priority, whether in a hybrid hypercar at Le Mans or a high-performance EV on the road.
For the Zohari Cars community, this livery is a reminder that technical excellence and emotional design are not mutually exclusive. As Team Peugeot TotalEnergies prepares for the season opener in Qatar on March 28, the 9X8 stands ready to perpetuate the GTi legend through a perfect fusion of heritage and cutting-edge tech. Stay tuned as we follow the #93 and #94 cars through their most "GTI-inspired" year yet.
